Traffic intensity and air pollution before and during lockdown in Novi Sad, Serbia

The aim of the study was to analyse relationship between PM2.5 and PM10 concentrations, traffic density meteorological factors during week with regular regime first COVID-19 lockdown in Novi Sad, Serbia. During period, which included working days weekends, emission contributions PMs were also determined. Obtained results have shown higher PM, pressure contribution values, lower temperature, relative humidity counts for all vehicle categories week. A positive correlation detected only week, passenger vehicles lightweight trucks, as well vehicles. Background concentrations moderately correlated total well. Very strong moderate temperature PM increased but decreased by 68% on workdays 22% proving impact measures intensity. From 16 January to 30 April 2012, a total of 119 cases of mumps were notified in Novi Sad, Serbia. Of these cases, 89 (75%), were among students. The average age of cases was 22 years-old (range 3-37). The outbreak is still ongoing in Novi Sad and is spreading to other parts of the Vojvodina province.
